HEALTHY EATING

At Daisychains we encourage children to eat a healthy diet.

We ask parents to provide cereal or toast for children requiring breakfast at nursery.

During the morning, all children are offered a healthy snack of fruit, vegetables, crackers, breadsticks or rice cakes etc.  Children also have a choice of milk or water to drink.

Children who stay or come in for lunch should bring in a packed lunch. As we promote healthy eating at all times, we would like to see this reflected in their lunch boxes and request that no sweets, chocolate or fizzy drinks are included as part of your child’s lunch.  We are not able to refrigerate lunchboxes so please supply a suitable container and ice pack if you feel it necessary.

Alternatively, during school term times, a hot meal can be purchased and will be supplied by St Georges Primary School kitchen at a cost of £2.50 per day.

Unfortunately, we cannot heat meals brought in from home.

Water is freely available throughout the day for all children.
